st. valentine LOVE notes

february will be here in less than 24 hours, and that means it is time for some LOVE! St. Valentine’s Day is exactly two weeks away.

my awesome cousin, courtney, who is also my son’s godmother, bought this ADORABLE love bug for my son this year, and it was her idea that we encourage our boys this valentine’s season with some notes of love. we both used ali edwards’ super cool action advent cards this past Christmas, so we thought we would try to do the same thing for Valentine’s day.

here is the super cute hallmark love bug. isn’t this SUCH a great idea? i’m really looking forward to using it with max.

i also found these great little love note cards at hallmark:

i designed some cute little cards you can print out and use for your own kiddos.

(just click to print on an 8.5×11 inch piece of paper and use a paper cutter to create four mini notes)

st. valentine’s day templates – 2011

woo hoo! are you getting ready for St. Valentine’s Day? i am….already planning what my kiddos are going to wear for their Valentine’s portraits.

Here is another set of Valentine’s Day templates for 2011. You can find last year’s here.

Here is this year’s….please let me know how they work out (i feel like the massive lack of sleep around here has impeded my ability to actually focus). These are set up as layered .psd files with vectors for the text/graphics. You can add your own text layers to personalize these. For how to insert your own photos into a layered psd file, please read my tutorial here.

St. Valentine’s Day 2010: Templates + Marketing your mini session.

hey guys! as promised, here are the free valentine’s samples i designed for 2010.

(2011′s can be found here).

have fun with them! these are sized at 4×5 using whcc’s press product templates, so the bleeds are included in the product. for info on how to use a template, visit here. also, all the fonts used are free fonts. If you do not have these loaded on your computer, do a google search for the font, and you will be able to find it that way. another option is to just use your own fonts. everything on these is editable….they were designed in photoshop cs4. once again, these are totally free for you to use for your own use or for clients, but please don’t resell them as your own. i’ve also designed a valentine’s mini session flier for you to use. mini sessions are a great way to generate buzz and to keep your current client list happy! here is a 5×7 postcard i would print up and distribute. OR, you can send it as an electronic postcard. This just provides you with some options to run your own mini session for your studio/photo business.
