the above is a cell phone photo of my honey and his wing man/bromance.  they’re out RIGHT now enjoying a pint of two together and relaxing after a hard work week.  (you can use a better quality photo than what i have above…i think the bartender actually took this photo for me!).

willette totally takes care of me with my car.  I LOVE this!  He always make sure I have a full tank of gas (and anything less than half a tank stresses me out)…willette knows this about me, so he is always on top of it!

for me….my where for WHERE i knew willette was “the one” was when we were in Maine the Christmas after we met.  this photo is actually of willette’s uncle on their family farm taken in March of 2008.

oh my goodness willette peeps…we have been SO sick here!  we’re finally well (though we have managed to pass the virus on to my mom and to my mother in law, who were both so sweet to take care of us and the kids).

sorry to have been M.I.A….i do think the worst of our familial illness is behind us.  i have a few fun things to share/post in the next few days.  i just have to first get through our piles of laundry and dirty dishes!

today’s lesson is to find your favorite facebook photo of your loved one.  after you locate your favorite photo (and don’t worry about the quality of the photo….just find a photo that truly speaks to you)…you need to actually PRINT the photo and display it somewhere.

of course i selected this one from willette and me from a trip we took to charlottesville, virginia, to see U2 perform (when i was 8 months pregnant).  if i remember correctly, willette was being silly at a beer tasting at a brewery prior to the concert.  this photo was taken by a friend’s camera phone, then put up on facebook.

this is us.

the kids who got married too young.

who married for love.

who had to eat ramen noodles, mac n cheese and hot dogs for dinner more nights than we care to remember when we were first married.

who learned tons of life lessons together as we entered adulthood together.

who have had some REALLY good highs and some bad lows.

who both LOVE listening to music.

who now have two kids, one dog and two cats (we temporarily have my mom’s cat).

who aren’t afraid of a house that is falling apart.  we like the challenge.  we’re actually bored by a house that is “done.”

(i need to clarify this one…willette does all the work…and actually, willette’s dad does most of the work!)

who are convinced that we will NEVER have nice furniture due to animals and kids.  and we’re okay with this.

who can’t seem to put our clothes away after taking them off.

who would drop everything for a friend in need. anytime.

who put their children above EVERYTHING.  everything we do is for these children.

who spend our entire date night talking about the kids (i think we have to work on this).

the processing on these last ones is something i’m messing around with in Lightroom.  not sure if i like it or not.

and for those of you wondering….these were taken with the camera on a tripod and i used my remote shutter release.

ohhh….today is ALL about smooching your loved one on the joy of love!!!!

(and my photo is actually taken by my friend, charlie gunter, from 2008).  i’m a bit under the weather, and my husband wasn’t here when it was time to tackle this assignment.  i’m looking forward to making up this assignment with him later   our reality, though, is that any smooching usually involves a couple of kids hanging on us and several animals in our laps…hahahaha.
